Overview

Connected Urban Development (CUD) demonstrates how to reduce carbon emissions by introducing improvements in urban infrastructure efficiency through information and communications technology (ICT). CUD was born from Cisco's commitment to the Clinton Global Initiative to help reduce carbon emissions. Founding cities include San Francisco, Amsterdam, and Seoul with four new cities joining in 2008 - Birmingham, Hamburg, Lisbon, and Madrid.
