Dan has 20 years experience in advanced technologies. He was responsible for concept design and full body engineering of the Jaguar XJ220, complete vehicle engineering for Volvo C70 coupe & convertible and the concept engineering for the Aston Martin Vanquish originating a novel bonded aluminium and carbon composite structure now in volume production. In 2002 Dan managed the ten strong R&D department at Arrows Formula One. Responsible for all materials technology, crash testing, new design development and validation. He developed novel advanced real-time dynamic laboratory test rigs for lap replay and transmission duty cycle.
Dan is currently a consultant to the DTi developing new design concepts for cost-effective low carbon-emission transport. Dan is an active member of the UK Government's Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership R&D working group.
